Saint Mary Magdalen Catholic School offers many after school activities, extracurricular activities and enrichment activities. Many of these opportunities ignite and strengthen student learning.
Student Ambassadors – 7th and 8th-grade students represent our school as leaders.
Buddy Program – 4th – 7th-grade students are paired with a buddy from our youngest 3 year olds-1st graders. A special bond is made and cherished. Buddies meet for Mass as well as various time for fun throughout the year.
D.A.R.E. – 5th-grade students participate in a Drug and Alcohol Resistance Education program presented by the Brentwood Police Department.
Field Day – The ultimate team-building day! Every team is a mix of young and old and everywhere in between playing together and cheering each other on.
Grandparents Day – A very special day! Grandparents or special friends join our students for Mass and then a light breakfast. Special projects/gifts are made for the grandparents or special friends to remember the day.
Homers for Health – A fun event to help make a difference for the children at Cardinal Glennon Hospital.
Junior Achievement – Kindergarten – 8th-grade students learn about work readiness and money/financial responsibility.
Liturgical Ministries – students share their enthusiasm for their faith by serving Mass, cantoring, and lecturing at school Masses. They also share their talent by joining the Children’s Choir.
PALS – Program-current school families welcome new families and provide support throughout the year.
Scholastic Book Fair -This event supports the students with books to read for enjoyment, as well as builds the school and classroom libraries.
Service Projects – Various projects occur throughout the year that provides the students with opportunities to help those in need. The Mission Carnival, Penny Challenge, Hat, Scarf and Glove Collection just name a few.
Shut-In Program – Students in all grade levels adopt a senior shut-in to make cards for and to write to throughout the year. The students bring a smile to their shut-ins face.
Sixth Grade Camp – 6th grade students enjoy a three-day camp experience working together at team building activities.
